' -.. ; , . , , ' I I ; ' w I. .f , . 1 b... . - . r v .Realignment and grading, filling dips and installing culverts, and compacting the road bed are under way on the "last gap" 16-mile stretch of gravel on the Milford-Delta highway, and work will continue through the winter as weather permits. per-mits. The new highway, an alternate alter-nate route from Cedar City to Salt Lake, will cut the distance by 85 miles and driving time by more than two hours, when the final section of gravel 16 miles long, from Black Rock to Bloom, is completed. The road passes through Minersville, Mil-ford. Mil-ford. Deseret. Lynndyl, Tintic Junction, and Tooele, meeting U S Highway 40 at Mills Junction, Junc-tion, west of Salt Lake. Cost of the last link of construction con-struction is $190,365. Mayor ruzer ana Mr. Olsen are now making plans to interest inter-est civic organizations and city councils along the new route in placing signs at strategic points to divert traffic onto . the new faster, shorter highway.
