Show MILFORD 4-H CLUBS S S CLUB The first meeting of the S S 4 II Club was held at the home of their leader, Mrs. Doragenc Bailey. Officers elected are Susan Yardley, president; Virginia Bailey, secretary; LaRae Marshall, reporter; Odette Mayer, social manager. The summer's activities were planned at this meeting. At our meeting on June 23 we had a demonstration on sewing on buttons. Refreshments were enjoyed. LaRae Marshall, reporter. re-porter. CLEVER COOKERS Our meeting on June 24th was conducted by Penny Sears, vice president, at the home of Melody Clark. We held election of officers. offi-cers. Linda Murie demonstrated how to measure salt. Cinnamon toast and hot chocolate choco-late were served to Carol Roberts, Rob-erts, Vickie Lamb, Gerry Price, Penny Sears and Linda Murie by the committee, Leslie Memmott, Paula Terry, Melody Clark and Lee Banks. The club met at the home of Linda Murie on June 28th, and planned a breakfast to be served July 1 at the home of Leslie Memmott. They also planned the mothers' breakfast to be served at the home of Gerry Price. Susan Jean Inkley, a cousin of Leslie, was our guest. On July 1st at Leslie Mem-mott's Mem-mott's home we prepared and ate our club breakfast. The tables were all properly set, and we ate sectioned grapefruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes pan-cakes and hot chocolate. Our most important meeting of all was held July 6, when we cooked and served breakfast to our mothers. Gerry Price and her mother Phyllis were hosts, at their home. The girls met at their leader's home and motored out to Gerry's where they prepared oranges, muffins, eggs, sausages, and hot chocolate, having everything ready when our mothers arrived. The tables were properly set by the girls, and as an extra decoration decora-tion small nut cups carrying the 4-H emblem were set at each place. Those present were Leslie and Mrs. Memmott, Melody and Mrs. Clark, Linda and Mrs. Murie, Carol and Mrs. Roberts, Karen and Mrs. Gillins, Judy and Mrs. Whittalcer, Penny and Mrs. Sears, Terry and Mrs. Price, Paula Terry, Ter-ry, Lee Banks, Vickie Lamb, and a guest, Susan Jean Inkley, Junior Jun-ior Leader Margaret Ann Whitta-ker Whitta-ker and Leaders Helen Banks and Dixie Lamb. Our final meeting will be held at Karen Gillins' home July 8th, at which time the girls will fill in their record sheets. A swimming swim-ming party and cook-out is planned plan-ned as an extra activity before we go to camp. Vickie Lamb, reporter. |
