Terry of Pleasant Grove, and Mr. and Mrs. John Tripp of Ephrata, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Tripp are spending a few days in Arizona visiting Mr. Tripp's relatives, but they will re- turn to Milford when Mrs. Drap er is released from the Beaver County Hospital. Mrs. Ann Lee of Salt Lake has been in Milford visiting friends. She was a house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hollis. ! Mr and Mrs. Byron Pullem j drove Mrs. David Pullem and I baby to their home in Salt Lake this week. The younger Pullems Joyce Alger to Wed Mr and Mrs. Don Alger announce an-nounce the engagement and approaching ap-proaching marriage of their daughter, Joyce, to Mr. William J. Straiey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mick Straiey. The marriage will be solemnized solemn-ized in the St. George Temple, and the couple will be feted at a reception in Milford the same night. Sego Lily Meets Last Thursday evening ladies of the Sego Lily Division 500 of the G I A met at the home of President Miidred Coon, with Mrs. Margaret Lund as co-hostess. After a short business meeting conducted by Mrs. Coon, bridge was played. Prize winners were Mrs. Vera Cooper, Mrs. Wanda Holm, Mrs. Ethel Killam, and the house prize went to Mrs. Car-netta Car-netta Hollis. t Other members present to enjoy en-joy the delightful evening were Mrs. Kate Shingleton, Mrs. Mag-dalena Mag-dalena White, Mrs. Florence Barnes, Mrs. Marvel Conncll, Mrs. Freda Smith, Mrs. Virginia Fcwles and a guest, Mrs. Ann Lee of Salt Lake. Mrs. Maurice Gray and son Maurice Layne paid a short visit to Milford and Logan, to see her brother Carlyle and family. Mrs. Carlyle Stott and youngsters young-sters accompanied Mrs. Maurice Gray to Milford for a visit with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Stott. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roberts of Van Nuys, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Jess Ward of Long Beach were guests of Mr. and -Mrs. F. A. Bingham last week. Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. Ward are sisters sis-ters of Mrs. Bingham. Mr and Mrs. Alva Stang have left Milford for the summer. Mr. Stang is employed by the UP. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Gillins are remodeling their home. 3 Mr. and Mrs. James Mayer have returned from a pleasant i rip to Southern California, where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert King at Lakewood, Mr. and Mrs. Clayson at Conjo, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jones at Inglewood. 9 Myron Vest recently returned from a two week vacation visiting visit-ing his children and their families fami-lies in the northern part of the state. o Mrs. Ada Dalton and daughter, James and Ida Riggs, formerly of Barstow, Calif., are now living in Milford. Mrs. Dalton will be employed as cook at the Green Horn Cafe and the Riggses will be employd by Bill Dalton in South Milford. 9 Donald Sooby of Garden City, Kansas, was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dalton Saturday. He was cn route to California. Mrs. Dalton rode as far as Las Vegas with him, returning re-turning with her husband had been visiting here." Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lowe left Thursday for a tour of California. They will be accompanied by Connie, Barbara, Allen and La-Mar La-Mar Jones, sisters and brothers of Mrs. Lowe. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dalton motored mo-tored to Salt Lake Monday to i pick up their three children, Judy, Linda and Scott, who have been staying with Mr. and Mrs. Loy Wheeler. o Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dalton and children, Judy, Linda and Scott, spent the day June 7 fishing at Panguitch Lake. 9 Harriet Cline will be employed this summer at the Milford State Bank. e Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Morris are on vacation in California. 9 Mr., and Mrs Clifton Calkins are in the East. In Washington, D. C, they will attend the wed ding of their son Dennis, June 26, to Miss Sandra Balden. 9 Mrs. Joan Bishop Stevens, formerly for-merly of Milford, joined her husband hus-band in Japan. Mr. Stevens is serving with the US armed forces. Ira Fisher is attending summer sum-mer school at the BYU. His daughter Terry, also in Provo, is seeking employment. Susan, Christine and Nelanie Elmer, children of Mr. and Mrs. Gale Elmer of Springville, stayed at the home of Mr and Mrs. Ira Fisher while; their parents were vacationing in California. A Mrs. Mickie Sherwood joined her husband Brian, who is employd em-ployd in Salt Lake by a tile company. com-pany. Mrs. Beatrice Oxley is attending attend-ing a workshop at the BYU. Her daughter Amanda is staying with relatives in Nephi. Owen and Billie Stoker attended at-tended Sunday sessions of the MIA Conference in Salt Lake. |
