Show j NEW AGENT I I "' f" ; " " Miss Sofia Ann Gardner Beaver County Has Extension Home Agent Beaver County again is getting an Extension Home Agent in the person of Miss Sofia Ann Gardner. Her' appointment,' effective April 16, was approved at recent meetings meet-ings of the Utah State University Board of Trustees and the Beaver County Commissioners. Miss Gardner is from Snowflake, Arizona. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a composite major in home economics econom-ics and family living, graduating in 1957. She served in the Mexican mission for the Church of Jesus Christ oi Latter-day Saints lor two years following graduation. Since returning, she has been doing graduate work at BYU and has completed requirements for a teacher's sertificate. Dr. Carl Frischknecht, USU Extension Ex-tension director, points out that she has held numerous civic and church positions in the communities communi-ties in which she has lived and has been highly recommended by those people best acquainted with her qualifications. She will fill the position formerly held by Betty J. Stone, who resigned several years ago to fill other responsibilities. Dr. Frischknecht points out that she will be responsible respon-sible for the adult education program pro-gram conducted by the Cooperative Coopera-tive Extension Service in family living, including work in foods, nutrition, nu-trition, clothing, home management, manage-ment, child care, and girls 4-H club work. She will cooperate with Grant Esplin, county agent, in conducting con-ducting education programs of interest in-terest to men and women in leadership lead-ership development, health, safety, , citizenship, public affairs, etc. , |
