Show Items of Interest About People You Know MR. AND MRS. H. W. NORTON NOR-TON announce the engagement of their daughter, Renee, to Mr. Robsrt Alan Christmas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Christmas of Pasadena, Calif. Miss Norton is a student at Brigham Young University, majoring ma-joring in English. She is a member mem-ber of the National Spurs, women's wom-en's service organization, and a member of the Alpha Lamda Del-to Del-to scholastic honor society. She graduated from Milford High School in 1958. Mr. Christmas is a former student stu-dent of Stanford University, now attending the BYU. He is majoring ma-joring in creative writing. The wedding date has been set for March 18, at the St. George LDS Temp'.e. A reception will be held for the couple March 19 in the Milford LDS Recreation Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lane and daughter Heidi of Wells, Nev., were at the home of Mr. Lane's brolheir in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Van Memmott, four days last week. Mrs. Memmott's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Bcrnice Lane of Caliente, was also a guest of the Mem-motts Mem-motts during her son's visit. Mrs. Ireta Fotheringham has returned to Cedar City after being be-ing in Milford for the past two weeks receiving medical care. She was a guest, at the home of her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter. Mrs. Arthur Draper and daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Shirley Rasmussen, and Mrs. Gladys Christensen, all of Salina, visited Mr. and Mrs. Bert Smithson last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Roberts of Van Nuys, Calif., are spending a few days in Milford after attending at-tending funeral services for Al Kirk on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Denzel Craw and three children are in Milford. Mrs. Craw will remain here for six months while Mr. Craw, who is serving with the U S Navy, completes a tour of sea duty with San Francisco as his home base. Mr. and Mrs. Art Williams, former South Milford residents, are visiting in Milford. They spent a moratih in the northern part of the state, and called on a son in law and daughter, Jerald and Alice Wright, in Logan. Mr. Wright is attending the USU. Mr. and Mrs. Williams have been doing do-ing Temple work in Salt Lake, Logan and Manti, and en route to their home in Dos Palos, Cal., they plan to stop at the St. George Temple. e Jack Kirk of Reseda, Calif., was here to attend funeral services serv-ices for his uncle, Al Kirk. 9 Marvin Sherriff was in Salt Lake Jan. 26 to christen his first grandchild. Stephen Dale was the name given to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Fowler, in a christening ceremony in an LDS Church. Kyle Eugene was the name given to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rowley last Sunday in the Milford LDS Church. D wight Carter christened the little one. Roland Culver attended Market Week in Salt Lake last week end. O Dale Johnson christened his son during LDS sacrament meeting meet-ing last Sunday, giving him the name Neil Bradley. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson of Delta and a brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whitbeck of Salt Lake, were here for the occasion. oc-casion. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Terry of Paul, Idaho, spent last week with their son in law and daughter, daugh-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Ira M. Fisher and family. The couple also visiter vis-iter another daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gael Elmer, in Springville. Cullen Goodwin of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Goodwin and three children of San Francisco Fran-cisco were in Milford at the home of the boys' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Goodwin. Previously Pre-viously Mrs. Goodwin visited her son and family in San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Thompson were in Salt Lake last week end where their small son Kenneth reecived medical care. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Gillam announce an-nounce the birth of a grandson, born Feb. 1 in the Iron County Hospital at Cedar City to Mr. and 'Mrs. Clive Foster. Karl and Sally (Edwards) Mer-ryweather Mer-ryweather had their first child christened in the Milford LDS Sacrament services last Sunday. Grandfather Edgar C. Edwards gave the little one the name of Kristin. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Aagard of Salt Lake were in Milford over the week end at the home of parents Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Aagard and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Inman. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Carter plan to make their home in the northern part of the state. Mr. Carter is employed by the UP at Provo. The family will move when they sell their home here. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Anderson have sold their home in Milford to Mrs. Fotheringham and are moving to Las Vegas. MR. ANR MRS. VERN DRAPER DRAP-ER of Paul, Idaho, announce the engagement of .it heir daughter, Marie, to Mr. John Paul Parkinson, Parkin-son, son of Mrs. Ella Parkinson of Milford. Miss Draper is a graduate of Minico High School, and is employed em-ployed as clerk at the Paul post office. Mr. Parkinson served two years in the armed forces during the Korean Conflict, after graduating from Milford High School. He is employed as a fireman on the Union Pacific Railroad. A summer wedding is planned. THE MILFORD ELEMENTARY TEACHERS were hosts last Friday Fri-day evening at a party for the High School teachers, partners, and both High School and Elementary Ele-mentary School personnel, in the new Elementary School building. A ham dinner was served, after aft-er which the group toured the building. Dancing was also enjoyed en-joyed during the evening. t Serving on the committee were Mr. and Mrs. Don Elmer, Ira M.
