Show Services Held Monday For Joe Moore Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 16, in the Milford Community Methodist Church, for Joseph Edward (Joe) Moore, 84, who died in the Beaver County Hospital Saturday, Nov. 14, of a heart ailment. Rev. Myrtle White was in charge of the committal services and gave the'funeral message. Charles Jameson Jam-eson of Minersville, .who had been a co-worker of Mr. Moore for 40 years, paid a tribute to the deceased. de-ceased. LaMar Lund sang "Face to Face," and Mrs. Vivian Rollins sang "In the Garden." Burial was in the Milford City j Cemetery. ' I Mr. Moors was born July 3, 1875, in Salina, Kansas, to John and Mary Mann Moore. Oct. 17, 1936, he married Hazel Lorraine Peck-ham, Peck-ham, in Milford. He was employed for 15 years by the Union Pacific Railroad as a stationary fireman and baggage man. Previously he had been a stockman, and had worked in San Francisco for seven years as a streetcar motorman on the famous cable cars. He was living in San Francisco at the time of the 1906 earthquake and fire. He came to Milford in 1919 from Oregon. Surviving are his widow; a stepdaughter, step-daughter, Mrs. Nellie E. Carelock of Riverbank, Calif.; and a brother, broth-er, Owen H. Moore of Corvallis, Oregon; and four grandchildren. |
