"Without question more interest is being shown in debating on the Weber College campus this year than in any previous year," Debating Coach Leland Monson said. He stated that the material available is as promising as ever before. The team of Jean Danvers and Edna Williams, that placed second last year in the all-western junior colleee tournament at Stockton, Calif., will debate again this year. Another capable candidate is Jay London of Morgan, who three years ago won single-handed seven out of eight debates on four different questions, after his partner, Jack Norbeck, was taken ill in Chicago. Mr. Woodfield has been appointed debating manager, with Miss Danvers as assistant. On March 17, it is announced, Jeannette Manning of Ogden, former student at Weber, now attending the College of the Pacific on a scholarship earned here, will debate with a partner against a team from Weber in our auditorium. Mr. Dwaync Orton, Director of Forensics at Cal-legc of the Pacific, writes: "We are pleased to continue our arrangements with Weber and I assure you I shall be looking for someone to take ejannette's place when she leaves us in June. You will have to establish the habit of sending us one good debater each two years." o REGISTRATION FOR WINTER QUARTER BEGINS Registration for the winter quarter will begin Thursday, December 7, at 1 p. m. and will continue Thursday till 5 p. m. and Friday from 8 a. m, to noon and from 1 p. m. to 5 p. m. at the Weber College Gymnasium.
