J nt oo oO n n : Grounds For Coffee, grounds for By PATRIC TOVAL Asst. arts editor of The Signpost Ogden has long awaited a coffee house comparable to the SLC Roasting Co. and Bandaloops. Grounds for Coffee is just that place. Opening its doors on Martin Luther King's Birthday, owners Dan and Suzy Dailey offer more than just a dimly lit room for ex-presso and cheesecake. The atmosphere is light and comfortable, with friendly table service and a variety of savory morsels to tantalize the hungry student's tastebuds. They not only offer the traditional American and trans-continental blends, but also iced cappuccino and mochas. Some additional specialties include: raspberry cream,macada-mia-nut, and peach cafe au lait. They feature four-inch high carrot cake; cranberry, poppy seed and chocolate (yes, chocolate!) muffins the size of soft-balls; flaky fruit pastries and Danish pastries larger than the human hand; and of course, bagels and cream cheese. Grounds for Coffee is an ideal place for the weary Weber student to let their hair down with friends or to park for a few hours to study. No longer is it necessary to spend an hours' drive, a tank of gas and last weeks' paycheck in order to get a decent cup of coffee from an unfriendly face behind a glass counter. Grounds for Coffee is close, convenient and affordable. It's located at 30th Street and Harrison Blvd., and is open seven days a week until 8 p.m. Coffee connoisseurs are well advised to try it out.
