IS. BY NIKKI SMITH Staff writer of The Signpost Jamie VanMeeteren, honors, general and integrated studies senator, is looking for suggestions for legislaton. ASWSU adopted a new constitution and VanMeeteren is on the committee for writing the by-laws. The constitution governs students and the by-laws state how todoit. A public hearing for the bylaws will be held on January 30, at 10:30 a.m. VanMeeteren recently presented a resolution before the Senate which gave more options to gain math competency by adding a new math class, Contemporary CHUCK BOWHAYfHf SIGNPOST Senator Jamie VanMeeteren Mathematics. The resolution was approved by ASWSU. "1 really like being a senator because it gives me the potential to do great things for Weber State," she said. VanMeeteren also rewrote her area of council charter and is on the Student Fees Allocation Committee. 'Through my activities in ASWSU I've really enhanced my college experience and I would sugggest to any student that it is a great way to get more out of your fouryears at Weber State," she said. If there are students with no declared major, BIS or honor students who would like to be more involved, contact Jamie VanMeeteren at the ASWSU offices. She is looking people for her area council. This is an opportunity to give input and make some changes on the campus.
