Waldo wants children whose parents are students at Weber State College. He wants children whose parents, grandparents, and even aunts or uncles are alumni of Weber State. "They have to have some connection with the college, either student or grandparents," said Monte Shupe, assistant director of alumni. "Each Little Cat receives their own mailing, so if there's six in the family they can each get one to make them feel special," he said. The Little Cat Club tries to have one activity every other month. Each member is given a Little Cat Card to allow them admittance to each of the scheduled activities. Some of the activities this year included watching a Weber football game and munching free hot dogs. At a later date, each Little Cat was served punch and cookies at a Wildcat basketball game. The purpose of the club is "to start tying the kids in with the college at as early age as possible and get them thinking Weber State College," Shupe said. For those who are interested in registering their children or grandchildren with the Little Cat Club, contact the Alumni Office at 626-6563 or send their names and birthdates to: WSC Alumni Office, Weber State College, Ogden, UT 84408-1011.
