Madsen would like to see the 'Cats finish in the top eight. This would give the Wildcats a good shot to be invited to the NCAA Championships to be held in Houston, Texas. With temperatures expected to be in the high 90's, Coach Madsen is concerned the heat could take its toll on the 'Cats. Weber has been playing in the cooler climate of Utah and the sudden heat could really wear on the Wildcats. Madsen is also expecting his golfers to return to their form of last fall, when the 'Cats were ranked ninetheenth in the country. Madsen said senior Todd Erwin needs to start shooting the low scores he shot last fall if Weber is to compete. Scott Geroux and Mats Jonmarker have been playing pretty consistently and Weber will need the same consistency from them. Madsen said he would like to see improved play from Glenn Bannister, who started the Spring as the number one golfer on the team. Weber's Brett Bennyhoff should score well in this tournament because he has played the course many times while playing golf in junior college. Paul Mueller, a freshman, is the other golfer Madsen is relying on to turn in some low scores.
