Show 12 S'gnpost-Friday, October 5, 1984 Buckingham's Latest 'Goes Insane,' Goes Nowhere by John Yeardley Staff Reporter "Go ahead. Do it. Look up "bad" in the dictionary. See? There's Lindsay Buckingham, holding a copy of his new LP, Go Insane. Oh, alright, so he's not there. But he should be. I first sat down to listen to Go Insane, I thought it wouldn't be all that bad. I wwas wrong. Buckingham should be ostracized from society. The theme behind the album appears to be ,"Ode to SEX". Judge for yourself. I get the feeling that the purpose behind Insane was to show that obsession which would make people "Go Insane" - the need to fill sexual desire. To attempt to address such leads me to believe that he is an expert in all the areas of human nature. The only redeeming thing about the disc is the title cut. Other than that, the whole project is a simplistic farce. Finally my suggestion. If you are a Champagne- and-Caviar Socialite, buy a collection of the best Jazz, Rock-and-Roll, or whatever suits you. If you are a Milk-and-Cookies Schmuck, buy Lindsay Buckingham albums.
