Show 2 Signpost Tuesday, May 31, 1983 Campus Update Plant sale The WSC Botany Club is sponsoring a spring plant sale tomorrow. The sale will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will be held In room 422 of the Science Lab Building. Clown contest Entries are being accepted through July 11 for the Ogden Chamber Street Festival Clown Contest to be held Saturday, July 16. Contestants will be judged on originality, make-up and costume with first, second and third place prizes awarded in the following age groups: 6-11, 12-18, and 19 and above. There is no entry fee, but pre-registration is required by July 11. More information can be obtained by calling the Ogden Chamber of Commerce at 621-8300. Springtime of the universe The Layton Ott Planetarium presents "Springtime of the Universe," a description of our youthful universe. The planetarium is located in the circular building north of the stadium. Admission for adults is $1 and $.50 for children. Showtime is 7 p.m. every Wednesday, May through June. SAE picnic SAE is sponsoring a salmon smoke on Saturday, June 4th at noon. Automotive students are invited to attend the annual festivities to be held at the Lions Park across from Rainbow Gardens in Ogden Canyon. The price will be $2 for adults and $1 for children. Individuals are asked to bring their own cups, plates, eating utensils and to bring one food item. Students can sign up for the picnic in the Technical Education Building. Dance contest Entries are now being accepted for the Country Western Dance Contest held in conjunction with the 7th Annual Ogden Chamber Street Festival to be held Saturday, July 16. Competition gets under way at 4 p.m. on 23rd and Washington Boulevard, with check-in time at 3:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded. Pre-registration is not required, but further information is available by calling Ruth Knight at the Division of Continuing Education, Weber State College, 626-6338. Brown bagger The final brown bagger for this quarter will be "Depression" featuring Toni Weight. The brown baggers are sponsored by the Women's Educational Resource Center and are held every Wednesday at noon in UB 354. Jobs available The Career Services Center currently has many jobs available for students. Information on these jobs may be obtained in their offices in the Union Building, room 280. Announcements of jobs are available in a display case outside the office. Some of the jobs currently available include: secretary, office clerk, chemical engineer, accounting clerk, TV repair, surveyor, pianist, marketing trainer, purchaser, data input, auto mechanic (female), loss prevention officer, management trainer, over 40 positions in sales, cook, waiterwaitress, caretaker, carpet cleaner, building maintenance, several baby sitting positions, appointment maker, cashiers, line refueler, sta: tion attendant, and telephone solicitor.
