Photo by Suzette Blue Awards to be given at annual banquet The annual ASWSC Awards and Honors Banquet will be held Thursday in the Union Building Ballroom at 7 p.m. Awards will be presented in nine categories. The new full-time rate reflects an 11 per cent, or $17 CREDIT HOURS lor 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 or more Following a special meeting of the Weber State College Institutional Council, President Joseph L. Bishop announced the selection of Farrell R. Collett and E. Lynn Foley as recipients of honorary doctorate degrees at the WSC commencement June 4. Collett, a member of the Weber State art faculty since 1939 and department chairman until 1971, is one of Utah's most widely known artists. He remained at Weber until spring of 1976. Collett is best known for his paintings of animal life, the most famous of which is "The White Horse," and a painting depicting the killing of "Old Ephraim," a grizzly bear. Collett earned a Master's Degree at Brigham Young University, where he also served as student body president. He did graduate work at UCLA, and studied at several art schools. His awards include the Latham Foundation International Poster competition, and best-of-show at the Springville National Invitational. Foley, retired manager of the Ogden Division of the Utah Power and Light Company, has long been active in the Ogden area. Until retirement in March 1977 Foley had served 41 years with UP & L, the last 11 as district manager. Foley helped organize the Weber State Boosters Club in 1955, and served as its president for 11 years.. hike over the old rate, $157. Also changed is policy regarding late payments.
