Show KANAB. Tuesday, the 8th: Business around the polling station has been brisk all day. Hon. Dan Seegmiller made his appearance during the afternoon from Upper Kanab. Everything appears to be going Republican. Hon. W. F. Stewart, the Democratic candidate for representative, explained the mysteries of the Democratic ticket in fluent language to a small audience on the 4th inst, after which the benches were cleared away and a dance had. On Wednesday, 2nd inst., John G. McQuarrie and Hon. Edward H. Snow, both of St, George, addressed the people of Kanab on the silver question. Both men handled the subject with great ability and made a good impression on the audience. Hon. Joseph E. Robinson and Chamberlain Cham-berlain addressed the Republicans on the 7th inst. A good number of people were present, and all heartily joined in the dance which was held afterwards. The Democrats were to have held a meeting and dance, but their speakers did not put in an appearance. On the 3rd inst., Professors Cluff and Giles, of the B. Y. Academy, Provo, showed the advantages of obtaining a good education, and tried to persuade those who had children suitable to send them to Provo or Beaver.
