Th-s is the first installment of hitherto unpublished extracts from the private diary of Dr. B. E. O'Meary, Napoleon Bonaparte's physician at St. Helena. The original manuscript of this journal, jour-nal, in eighteen little volumes, has come into the possession of the Ceutury Co., and is found to afford a surprisingly surpris-ingly large amount of new material in the way of conversations with the exiled ex-iled emperor. These "Talks With Napoleon" Na-poleon" will form an important feature of the Century during the year l'JOO.
