Show OVEETOX, XEVADA. Last few days quite cold and windy. Overton postoffice is now a money order office. St. Thomas people cleaned out their canal this week. Bees now swarming and we look for a fine crop of honey. Our stores have recently brought in a good supply of goods. Alvcr Carl Crosby goes to Eldorado canyon to work soon. John Cooper has had a severe spell of rhuu7.ia.tism, but is improving-. W. W. Perkins and D. J. Cox have gone out to Parashaunt with salt for Andrew Sorrenson. Grain all headed out; first crop of lucern ready to cut; stockmen gathering gather-ing up stock ready for sale; range very dry, no green feed on the hills, but some along the Muddy creek and Virgin river bottoms. .John M. Thomas and Martin A Bunker Bun-ker left here last week for their sawmill saw-mill in the Timber, or Sheep, mountains, moun-tains, nearly sixty miles west- to saw lumber. As there is no snow they will have to haul water about seven miles for steam purposes. Price of lumber at this mill $16 per thousand feet. |
