Show m CITY COUNCIL. Regular session, held November 4, 1S99. Present Mayor Brown, Crs. Jaryis, Foster, Miles, Cottam and Woodbury. Report of Committee on Water Works and Water Rights as to the construction con-struction of reservoir for Cottonwood water, that they had surveyed a reservoir reser-voir site at the Black Knoll, and that a dam of 45 feet high would have to be 500 feet long on the top. If water was raised to 40-feet level it would cover an area of 35 acres and would have a capacity ca-pacity of 700 acres-feet of water. A dam of 25-feet would give the water a maxim depth of 20-fei:t, and would cover an area of about 18 acres with an average depth of 10 feet, and would Contain 150 acros-fcet of water. The report was accepted. Moved that a mass meeting of citizens citi-zens be called for the purpose of ascertaining ascer-taining the sentiment ofthe people in regard to the building of a reservoir and bringing the water into the city and that said meeting be held on Saturday, Sat-urday, November 11, 1S99. Carried. Council adjourned. |
