| Show convention at hurricane A contention waa held at hurricane wednesday tor the purpose of furthering the interests of alie county in rall roid matters and appointing a county committee to get everything relating in proper shape james andrus and D H morris were the delegates present from this city and nearly all of the other places interested were represented by a delegation mr morris called the meeting to order and outlined its object thomas judd was elected chairman and jacob L workman secretary of the meeting the meeting was a ic one and the anous speakers tint aliey were alive to the importance of inducing the salt lake route to build this way A county committee was appointed consisting of thomas judd of james andrus and D II 11 morras of st george the committee was instructed to gather all necessary data that would be A mass meeting of citizens was called by the commercial club last friday evening to appoint delegates to a convention to be held at hurricane fab 2 to further railroad interests the meeting was well attended and the following delegates were appointed t D H morris jaa andrus E H snow F L daggatt and aco P whitehead alternates thos P cottam E M brown thos judd useful and offer the railroad free rights of way through private lands and all necessary depot sites and terminal points each binding itself to pay its share the st george delegation speak very highly of the splendid reception given them and other delegates by the enterprising and progressive citizens of hurricane they were heartily welcomed and everything possible done for their comfort and convenience |
