Show HOLY ROSARY CHURCH HOLY ROSARY CHURCH HAS NEW PASTOR Assignment of the Rev. John J. Sullivan as pastor of Holy Rosary Parish in Bingham, was announced last Friday by the Chancery Office of the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City. He succeeds the Rev. James C. Coyne who resigned because of ill health and has been granted a leave of absence to visit with his family in Massachusetts. The Rev. David Goddard will continue con-tinue as assistant pastor. Father Sullivan was born in Salt Lake City on May 28, 1929. He was reared in Tooele and attended at-tended public schools there. He received his training for the ministry at St. Joseph's College, Mountain View, Calif., and St. Patrick's Seminary, Menlo Park, Calif. Father Sullivan was ordained or-dained May 13, 1951, in Cathedral Cathe-dral of the Madeleine by the Most Rev. Duane G. Hunt, bishop of the Diocese of Salt Lake City. Afterserving three years as assistant as-sistant pastor in Price he became an instructor at Judge Memorial High School. Seven months of that year he also was pastor in Bountiful. He came to Bingham from Tooele. Meeting Schedule For Week of September 12 Monday, 7:00 Guadalupana Society at the Convent. Religious Instruction Classes Pre-school children Tuesday and Thursday morning 9:15-10:45; first and second graders Wednesday Wed-nesday and Friday afternoon at 2:00; third, fourth, fifth and sixth graders Wednesday and Friday afternoon at 3:15; seventh and eighth graders Monday afternoon after-noon at 3:15; high school students stu-dents release time instructions Monday, Wednesday, Friday. |
