Show St. George Lady Lions Hold First of A Series of Public Bridge Teas Here The St. George Lady Lions joined last Saturday evening in holding the first of a series of public Bridge teas at the Arrowhead hotel banquet rooms, with 22 tables of players attending. In Rook, the winners of ,high scores were Mrs. A. B. Andrus, Mrs. Lindau Foremaster and Mrs. Theo Dill, and in Pinochle Mrs. June Gubler took high score. In all three events Defense Stamps were given as awards. The lace-covered tea table was centered with a crystal bowl of peach blossoms and baby breath, flanked by lighted tapers in matching holders. Mrs. Duke Sutton, Sut-ton, president, and Mrs. Wesley A. Nelson , past president, poured. Hostesses were Mrs. Brown Hail, Mrs. Tom Young and Mrs. Lee Owens, with Mrs. Howard Judd in charge of Rook. During the serving Mrs. Jack Ricketts entertained enter-tained with piano selections. The active committee included Mrs. John J. Phoenix Jr., general chairman; Mrs. O. D. Lombardi in charge of ticket sales; Mrs. Bern ell Batson, refreshments; Mrs. R. M. Reber and Mrs. Lorraine Lor-raine Cox, tea table; flowers, Mrs. B. G. Milne; prizes, Mrs. M. O. Hutchings; scoring, Mrs. L. A. Porter. |
