Show SHORT CREEK, Ariz. Mrs. I. W. Carling Reporter Our school closed here Friday. The fifth,- sixth and seventh grades I had a program on Thursday night. ' The graduation exercises of the ' eighth grade was held Friday night. The graduates were Tommy Rinicum, Isabel Johnson and Francis Carling. Noma M. Scudder left Friday i night after the graduating exer- cises for her home in Tempe. , Charles F. Hansen left for his home on Saturday. i Arnold Adair, who spent the ; past week on Kaibab mountain working, spent the week end at home with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Adair and son, and George Black spent Sun day afternoon at Canaan ranch. Marvin Black, who has been em-several em-several months, came home Sunday several months came home Sunday for a week's visit with his mother and family. He was accompanied by Elaine and Darwin Nyborg. Leonard Black made a trip to Hurricane on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Black and three small children and Mrs. Lizzie Colvin went to Cedar City on Wednesday. Mrs. Colvin remained re-mained there to visit her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. R. T. Olds. Captain Leithead gave a lecture at the school house about the sinking sink-ing of a ship he was captain of, by an enemy torpedo, on Wednesday morning at 9:30. |
