Show LaVERKIN Pansy L. Hardy Reporter Home missionaries here Sunday were Alvin Allred and son, Arden, of Springdale. Arden spoke on prayer, and gave one thought that would be a help to all, "Prayer keeps one from sin, sin keeps one from prayer". Alvin Allred spoke on the "Word of Wisdom", and also on the building of our Temples and incidents relating thereto. John Judd has gone to Salt Lake to visit with his children. Mrs. Judd who has spent some time in northern Utah expects to return home with her husband. Mr. .and Mrs. William J. Stanley Stan-ley of California are new-comers here. Mr. Stanley has employment employ-ment with Bill Sanders. Miss Joan Hepworth has returned re-turned home after a two-weeks' visit at Las Vegas with her sister, Mrs. Clell Stratton. The report was given out Sunday Sun-day that there were 28 cases of red measles in town. The attendance at-tendance at Sunday school certainly cer-tainly showed this to be true, for there were very few young people there. Those who do not have the disease are quarantined because they have not had it, and so have to remain at home for fear of exposing ex-posing others. This disease does not confine itself to youngsters, either, for Mrs. Vilate Hardy has been very ill with an attack of it, but is reported on the improve. im-prove. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hardy and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hardy of Hawthorne, Nev., were Sunday visitors here. Cyrus Gifford who has had em-nlovment em-nlovment at Lunincr. Nev., is here for a few davs visit. Keel Hardy was a visitor at Mesnuite last week. Wavne Wilson and Donwprth Gnhlpr were called as home missionaries mis-sionaries to Tocruerville last Sun-dav. Sun-dav. Mr. and Mrs. Percv Wittwer and familv and Tell GnMpr were Sunday visitors here from Las Vegas, where the men have employment. em-ployment. Mrs. Cleone Tverson held open house to the ladies of LaVerkin Tuesday evening. Swing and visiting visit-ing were the order of the evening. |
