Show WASHINGTON lbs. Caddie Neilson Reporter W. O. Nisson returned last week from Salt Lake City after an extended ex-tended stay there where he underwent under-went surgery on one of his eyes. Although he will have to be careful care-ful for sometime he is very happy that he will still have the use of that eye. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jolley and two of his sisters, Mrs. Jack Libby and Mrs. Farrell 'Hafen, all of Los Angeles returned to their home Thursday after spending spend-ing several days here with their mother, Mrs. Mary Jolley and sister, Ida. Howard is on a furlough fur-lough from military service. Victor Iverson returned home Sunday from Salt Lake City where he had been to get his wife, who is sufficiently recovered from a recent operation performed in the Holy Cross hospital to return home. Mr. Iverson was accompanied accom-panied to Salt Lake City by his mother, Mrs. E. M. Iverson and daughter, Maxine and his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Austin Iverson. Mrs. Joseph Jolley of Provo arrived last week to visit relatives. rela-tives. While here she is the guest of her sister, Mrs. Levi Neilson. Cadet Mary Paxman, who is nursing at the General hospital in Salt Lake City has recently received her cap and therefore is entitled to the title of Junior Cadet Nurse. Mrs. Mary Ray is here visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Miller. She has been in North Carolina with her hsuband, who is stationed there. Mrs. Israel Sr., celebrated her 79th birthday anniversary quietly at her home Sunday. Members of her family and friends called to wish her many happy returns. She also received many lovely gifts. Her daughter, Mrs. Tillie Sorenson of St. George spent the day with her. . Mrs. Ray Spendlove and infant daughter have returned from the local hospital and are at the home of her mother, Mrs. Mina Sand- Mrs W O. Nisson was hostess to the I.O.M. club Thursday. Rook was the diversion of the afternoon with Mrs. Antone Neilson Neil-son and Mrs. John Tanner winning win-ning high honors. Karen Hannig is here from Los Angeles visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hannig and other relatives. |
