Show Funeral Services Held Here Monday for Son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Martineau Funeral services were held in the St. George Stake Tabernacle Monday, March 27 at 5 P.M. for Ronald Dee Martineau, small son of Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Martineau, Mar-tineau, formerly of Gunlock, who have been located at Hanford, Washington, for the past year on defense work. Bishop Wilford Schmutz of the East ward presided, Counselor Paul C. Seegmiller conducting the services, with Mrs. Bud Seegmiller at the organ. Music numbers included a vocal solo, 'All Through the Night", by Mrs. Wm. E. Baker, Mrs. Murray Webb and Mrs. Gerald Blake; solo, "I know that my Redeemer Lives" Conrad Fuller, accompanied accompan-ied by his mother, Mrs. Reed Fuller; Duet, "Sweet and Low" by DeLora Johnson and Audrey Pax-man, Pax-man, accompanied by Mrs. Janice Merrill; and solo, "Prayer Perfect" Mrs. Wm. E. Baker. Speakers were Bp. Henry Bowler Bow-ler and former Bp. F. J. Bowler, both of Gunlock ward, and Bp. Wilford Schmutz of the East ward St. George. All told of their associations as-sociations with the families bereaved be-reaved and gave words of comfort and assurance to them . By special request Mrs. M. L. McAllister read Edgar A. Guest's poem, "To All Parents". Prayers were by Clair S. Terry and Lorin A. Little, and the grave the city cemetery was dedicated by counselor Arthur Cottam of the east ward Bishopric. Born in Las Vegas, Nev, July 11, 1942, Ronald Dee Martineau was the only child of La Von and Afton Thompson Martineau. He took seriously ser-iously ill on the evening of March 21 and died while the parents were enroute with him from the Hanford. Han-ford. Washington trailer colony to the hospital, at 3 a. m. March 22. Surviving besides his parents are a sister, Reta Gae. his maternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. George T. Thompson of St. George, and his paternal grandmother. Mrs. Edward McClellan of Salt Lake City. |
