The final recommendation rec-ommendation of the members was that it be left in the hands of the Federal engineers and that the road that they recommend was to receive the backing of the club. The State of Utah is pushing push-ing hard for this road and it is believed that there is a good possibility pos-sibility of its being connected with one of the highways of this state. Other projects were discussed and a number of outstanding speakers addressed the group, states President Sandberg. Of special spe-cial interest was the address of Stanley J. Stephenson, executive secretary of the Utah Manufacturers' Manu-facturers' association, who stressed! the need for unity of purpose if. the southern counties were to go forward as they should. |
