Show Whipple's Receive Letter From Their Son, George Mr. and Mrs. Charles Whipple of this city rejoiced Sunday upon receipt of a letter from their son, George Whipple, who reports convoy con-voy with which he sailed Aug. 7th, has safely reached its destination, destin-ation, and "everything is fine". Such news is doubly welcome in times like these, says Mrs. Whipple, Whip-ple, when so many hazards await sea-going craft. Not much could be learned as to the whereabouts of the regiment regi-ment of anti-tank squadrons, to which this St. George boy belongs, be-longs, but just now it satisfies his parents, and his wife, who is holding her post as chief telephone operator in Palm Springs, Calif., to know that the convoy has reached its port. |
