Show SHORT CREEK, ARIZ. Short Creek, Ariz., July 8. The people of Cane Beds and Short Creek had a glorious time on the Fourth of July, up Short Creek canyon, a program pro-gram about eleven o'clock, lunch served about three o'clock, and then sports. All returned in the evening and enjoyed themselves at a dance at Cane Beds. Leonard Black, Lewis Black and Urban Colvin made a trip to Lynndyl after Millard Black, who has been working there for some time. He intends to visit with his folks awhile and then return to his work again. Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Carling have gone to I. E. Spencer's ranch, up above Glendale, where it is much cooler, on account of Mrs. Carling's health. Mr. Carling intends to find work while up there. O. F. Colvin has just returned from a trip to Moccasin, where he went on business. Millard and Leonard Black have just returned from Hurricane with a load. of supplies. Miss Verna Colvin has returned home from Moccasin, where she has been working. We are rejoicing over the nice rain storms we have had lately. Orlin G. Colvin has gone north to find work. |
