Show Memorial Services Held For Winferd Gifford At LaYerkin On Sunday LaVerkin, Utah The LaVerkin chapel was packed ' to capacity Sunday, Nov. 19, for the impressive impress-ive memorial services honoring Winferd Gifford, husband of An-nabelle An-nabelle Eves Gifford of Las Vegas and son of Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Gifford of LaVerkin. Bp. Lorin Squire conducted the services. Music numbers Included "The Flag Without A Stain", directed By LaVerna Graff; "There's A Star Spangled Banner Waving Somewhere" in charge of Pauline Wilson; duets, "In The Garden" by Mrs. Walter Brooks and Bill Sanders; "Come Unto Jesus," by Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Church and trombone solo, "Grateful, O Lord Am I" by Shirl Graff. A tribute from the Legion Auxiliary was read by Mrs. Howard Kleinman. Speakers were Morris Wilson, Charles E. Allen, W. Tell Gubler, Emil Graff and stake president, Elmer Graff. All stressed the capacity Of Winferd Gifford for work, for making friends, his honesty, faithfulness to his employers em-ployers and adherence to Scout laws. Surviving besides his wife, An-nabelle An-nabelle Eves Gifford, daughter, Diana are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Gifford, four sisters, Mrs. Beulah Pectol, Angie, La Rella and Avenell; four brothers, Pvt. Sheldon Gifford, Denver; Seaman Benarr Gifford, somewhere some-where in the South Pacific; Mel-vin Mel-vin and Omar, all of LaVerkin; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Bundy of St. George. Stirling Russell Post No. 100 of Hurricane officiated in the military phase of the services The grave was dedicated by Claud Hirschi. |
