Show Mesquite, Nev. Mrs. D. L. Reber Reporter A wedding reception was held for Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Pringle here last Friday night in the gym. Mrs. Pringle was the former Miss Stella Leavitt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lister Leavitt. A large crowd was in attendance and a good time was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Mildred Hunt was hostess to the Mesquite Literary Club at her home in Bunkerville last Thursday. Mrs. Lea Tobler gave an interesting report on "The Yearling." A delicious lunch was served to 15 members "and two guests, Mrs. Louise Tobler and Mrs. Gardner. Miss Verle Allen, fourth grade teacher had to return to her home in Las Vegas Monday an account of illness. She was operated on the same day for appendicitis. Mrs. Anne Hughes is teaching in her place. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Barnum of Pioche were visitors here Sunday. Sun-day. A large crowd attended the Gold and Green Ball at Bunkerville Bunker-ville last Saturday night. It was the first number on the budget. The newly appointed primary officers gave the outgoing officers and teachers a party Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Nevada Pulsipher. The new presidency presi-dency consists of Mrs. Nevada Pulsipher, president, Mrs. Hazel White, and Gurda Thurston as counselors, and Mrs. Sara Barnum, secretary. The outgoing presidency consisted of Mrs. Zelma Leavitt, Mrs. Lois Hughes, Lea Reber and Sara Barnum. The following people attended a P.-T.A. meeting and banquet at Las Vegas last Saturday: Mrs. Melva Leavitt, Mrs. Emily Hughes, Miss Edith Knight, Miss Verle Allen, Mrs. Loda Abbott, and Leonard Reber. |
