Show Public Invited To View Red Cross Exhibits With the Red Cross membership drive beginning this week, attention at-tention of the public is called to the exhibits of the Red Cross supplies which have been assembled assem-bled from the various centers of Washington County Chapter. These exhibits show in a small measure at least, what is being done, and what can be done in the future if membership funds are provided. Recently Herman Larkin, local plumber, gave the local Red Cross permission to use the west half of his display room in the former Dixie Mart building, including shelving space and a large display window. This will furnish a summer sum-mer sewing center and space for other production work of the (Continued on page eight) Red Cross Exhibits (Continued from page B) organization. At present there is a large exhibit Of the completed articles in the display window, including in-cluding hospital and bed shoes, rol)es, bed shirts, pneumonia jackets, jack-ets, afghans, sweaters, socks and other items, and another smaller display is in J. C. Penney windows'. |
