Show 'Health of Youth In A Democratic World" Theme of P.-T. A. Meet "Health of Youth in a Democratic World" was the theme of the regular P.-T. A. meeting held in the Elementary school building Thursday evening, March 15. Mrs. Frances Simmons presided and Mrs. Lyle Mitchell conducted the program under the direction of Miss Beryl Napier, county school nurse. The principal addresses were given by Miss Napier and Sheriff Antone B. Prince, the latter stressing "Safety of the School Child." Both speakers gave many valuable suggestions for parents and children that should aid in the promotion of health and safety safe-ty programs. Music numbers under direction of Miss Barbara Rasmusses included in-cluded community singing and a vocal solo by Miss Lorraine Jor-gensen. Jor-gensen. Miss tCldene Hall gave a reading. At the conclusion of the regular program the organization elected the officers for 1943-46. Tally of the vote showed Mrs. Harold Cannon, Can-non, president; Mrs. Frances Simmons, Sim-mons, first, and Ralph Huntsman, second vice-presidents; Mrs. Charles Merkley secretary; and Miss Misha Seegmiller, treasurer. |
