Show HURRICANE Mrs. Vernet Hluton Reporter Floyd Bradshaw arrived Saturday from Salt Lake City to visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Bradshaw. Guest of the Brad-shaws Brad-shaws this week also is Miss Ada Richardson of Salt Lake City, fiancee of Mr. Bradshaw.. Alvin Englestead of Kanosh spent the week end here with his sister, Mrs. Hyrum Neilson. Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Isom of San Diego arrived Friday to visit with Mrs. Isom's father, Frank Barber. Mrs. Isom is the former Beulah Barber. Mr. Isom is in training with the U. S. Navy. Mrs. Annie Sanders returned Sunday from spending two weeks in Salt Lake City visiting. A large crowd of fans from Hurricane attended the basketball tournament in Cedar City last Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Ilean Amacher of Riverside, River-side, Calif., is here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Woodbury. The Misses Ruth and LaDean Spendlove spent the week end home from Cedar City with their father, George Spendlove. Coris Gibson is home from California Cali-fornia visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. Chloe Beatty spent the week end here visiting" Mrs. Bertha Woodbury returned Friday from Woodruff, Ariz., where she has been visiting for the past two weeks. Mrs. Glenna Stocks of St. George visited over Saturday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stratton. Henry Setzer is here visiting his wife, the former Dawn Graff and infant daughter, Jane. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Larsen are in Provo spending a week with their son, Leo Larsen. Russell Wright arrived Sunday on a two weeks' leave from U. S. Navy training. Clair Roundy, Clayton Sanders and Hugh McMullin are all home on leave from training with the U. S. Navy. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Staheli of Crestline, Nev., visited Sunday with Mrs. Staheli's mother, Mrs. George Lippold. Mrs. Loren Covington, Mrs. Jesse Roundy and Clair Roundy visited in St. George and Leeds over Saturday. Miss Marjorie Lippold spent Saturday and Sunday in Enterprise Enter-prise visiting. A friendship shower was given last Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Donna Wright, honoring Mrs. Ora Reeve. Mrs. Carol Tob-ler Tob-ler and Georgia Taylor were co-hostesses. co-hostesses. The evening was spent in sewing and visiting. Mrs. Emerson Isom was honored hon-ored Monday evening at the home of her aunt, Mrs. I. H. Bradshaw with a post-bridal shower. Many relatives and friends attended. A program of music and games preceded pre-ceded opening of gifts and serving serv-ing of refreshments. Verl Langston visited friends in Hurricane over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cornelius have moved to Hurricane for the duration. |
