Show Raymond Spilsbury's Body round In Colorado j BOULDER CITY, Nevada The body of Raymond Spilsbury, South American copper magnate, lost since Jan. 19, was found February 2d by a party of fishermen in the Nelson-Eldorado district of the Colorado River, about eight miles below the point where he is believed be-lieved to have jumped to his death. The canyon walls where he was found are steep and difficult of access, and the stream current is swift at this point. The body was caught on a protruding log. with arms extended over his head and his legs curved backward. It was necessary to wait for the low water period to recover the body. Mr. Spilsbury, who had been on a fishing excursion in the canyon, was last seen on the afternoon of January 19 as he was walking down the path toward the river. When he failed to return to the camp at evening, a search was started and the following morning morn-ing his coat and hat were found weighted down with rocks on the river bank. In the coat were $13,605 in bank drafts, travelers checks and currency. Born in Toquerville, he was a son of the late Moroni Spilsbury. Many years ago he went to South America where he became manager mana-ger of Corro de Pasco Copper Co., serving as their general manager for 30 years. For the past few years he has been in poor health, and at the time of his death, was visiting at the home of his brother, G. C.
