Show Hafen Discusses 'Plans For Lasting Peace' "Plans for Lasting Peace," was the subject discussed Wednesday evening by Attorney Orval Hafen, guest speaker for the B.-P. W. at their second March meeting held in the music room of the Dixie college gym, with the international interna-tional relations committee directing direct-ing the program, Mrs. Joe Simmons, Sim-mons, chairman. The wide scope of the proposed peace plans was ably presented by Attorney Hafen, say those who attended. Special music numbers were furnished by Mrs. Mae A. Pace and her Dixie Male quartet, with Vernon Wor-then, Wor-then, Leland Lamoreaux, Ray Whipple and Marion Bowler. At the earlier meeting of the month, various phases of the national na-tional Social Security programs were discussed by Mrs. C. C. Wallace, Wal-lace, Miss Beryl Napier and Mrs. Ray Whipple, who also explained the benefits that have come to this area under this set-up, financially, fi-nancially, educationally and otherwise. |
