Show SPRINGDALE Mrs. Arnold Ruesch Reporter The Relief Society celebrated the 17th of March with a banquet, bazaar and dance.- The banquet started at 7:30 p.m., with the bazaar following. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing. danc-ing. Leon Gifford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Whitford Gifford was home on furlough from the Navy. He returned to his post last Saturday. Sat-urday. Lorin . and Florence Dutton of St. George visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Christensen Sunday and Monday. Lorin returned re-turned to his home in St. George on Monday but Florence will remain re-main for a while. Mrs. Elzina Allred of Mt. Car-mel Car-mel is visiting at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Allred. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brooksby spent Sunday visiting at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Dennett. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Evans of Hatch spent the week end visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kendell Gifford. Mr. and Mrs. Von Hoyt made a trip to Richfield last Friday to visit her folks. Delworth Ruesch and Mrs. Adelia Dennett left for Salt Lake City Thursday. Mr. Ruesch returned re-turned the fore part of the week and Mrs. Dennett will remain for the summer. Miss Venice Excell and Mrs. Austin Excell of California are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Excell. Apostle Stephen L. Richards and party attended our meeting Sunday night and gave us a timely talk. A large crowd attended at-tended with many coming from Rockville. Miss Ruth Bringhurst of To-querville To-querville spent the week end visiting vis-iting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hardy. ,- Miss Peggy Bleak of St. George spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ruesch. A large number from here attended at-tended conference in Hurricane last Sunday. K. D. Williams of St. George was a business visitor in town last Friday. Mrs. David Lawrence of Cedar City is working for Mrs. Larkin Gifford. |
