Show Mary Ida Alger, 76, Dies , At Enterprise Home Sunday of Heart Attack ENTERPRISE, Utah. Mary Ida Alger, 76, died at her home in Enterprise, Sunday, Nov. 7, of heart attack, having suffered from chronic heart ailment for the past six years. She was the daughter of Charles and Sariah Robbins Pulsipher Pul-sipher and was born in St. George Jan. 18, 1867. Living during the early years of pioneering in southern south-ern Utah, she had little schooling but learned by experience the duties of a pioneer housewife. On Dec. 9, 1884, she was married mar-ried in the St. George Temple to Willard Alger. They were the parents of 13 children, eight of whom are still living. They have resided in Enterprise, on ranches and at mining camps where work called Mr. Alger. Her unfailing kindness to her own family as well as to others has won her the esteem of many, both young and old. Their hospitality has been extended ex-tended especially to youths who have come to mining camps to work. Since making their home more permanently in Enterprise she has been active in Relief Society and has contributed generously and done her full part in the ward. The eight surviving children include: Mrs. Ella Twitchell, Mrs. William Cunningham, Mrs. Henry Randall and Herbert Alger, all of Enterprise; 'Mrs. Lucile Haley of Caliente, Nev.; Don Alger of Cedar City; Jesse Alger of Lund, and Andrew Alger now in military mili-tary service. There are also 46 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon in the Enterprise ward chapel at 4 p. m. |
