Show Snow Canyon Scouts Lead State In Active Participation By DONALD SCHMTJTZ Boy Scout Committeeman Snow's Canyon District Boy Scouts of America 'led all other districts of the Utah National Parks council in percentage of active ac-tive participation during the year 1940. This was revealed by a comparison com-parison of records of our district Scouters when the entire council met at Richfield. Our records show there were 250 available boys of Scout and explorer ages with 194 registered and receiving all national benefits. The nearest was 300 boys available with 150 registered. What the 1941 record will be is (Continued on page five) Local Scouts Lead State (Continued from first page) to be determined largely by the cooperation given to the Scouters and the boys by parents and adults of our communities within the next few days. The charters all expired on December 31, 1940. The St. George Center ward is the first to complete its 1941 registration reg-istration of both Scouts and explorer ex-plorer troops "Hats Off To Them". Coordinating principle with action, ac-tion, the burden of the National headquarters is, "Teaching of Principles of Democracy, for 1941". It's aims are to have each American in Scouting and one out of very four reaching 21 years of age to have had four years of Scouting. The L. D. S. church aim is 100 because it teaches the American way which is: I can go to any church I please. I read, see and hear what I choose. I can express my opinions openly. My mail reaches me as sent uncensored. My telephone is untapped. I can vote for what and whom I please. I have a constitutional right to trail by jury. I am protected against search and seizure. Neither my life nor my property prop-erty can be forfeited without due process of law. |
