Show SANTA CLARA Miss Amanda Graff 'Reporter , D-u-p- meeting was ,eld at he home of Mrs. Archie Gubler last Friday evening. The lesson 'Religious Sects That Spring from Mormonism", was given by Mrs. Gubler; the "History of Blanche Jane Blake", was giwn by Laura Gubler. Mrs. Clyde Hi ghee of Cedar City and Mrs. James Andrus of St. George were here staying at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Leavitt Sunday. Mrs. Grant Graff and family went to Nephi to see her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Claud Talley. Mrs. Calvin Stucki and two children are at Motoqua, staying with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. John Eardley. .A large audience was out tc hear Darwin Gubler, our returned missionary, 'who spoke in our Sacrament meeting Sunday. He gave us some of his -missionary experiences and gave a very splendid talk. Visiting at the home of Donald Frei Sunday was Mr. Jones, a missionary companion of Mr. Frei, who Was on his way home to New Mexico from his mission. Both he and Mr. Frei spoke to us in meeting Sunday. A farewell party in honor of Elvin Hafen was given Wednesday evening at the home of Preston Hafen. Thirty-three friends and relatives attended and were entertained en-tertained with a program. Refreshments Re-freshments were served. Elvin is the son of Mrs. Ernest Hafen. |
