Show Elementary School News Miss Graff's First Grade We like to study rocks here at school. We have red, white and yellow sandstone, sand-stone, some pieces of quartz, silica, conglomerate, shale and flint. The flint is very hard. Long ago, the Indians used flint for their arrow-heads. Kelton Hafen brought some petrified wood and Helen Harris brought a rock just filled with copper. The frogs are out. Some of us have heard them. We made up a poem about a bull frog. This is the poem: "I saw a big bull frog, He hopped upon a log; He croaked and croaked all night, But he swam away when it was light".
