Show St. George CCC Camp J. H. York, of Phoneix, Ariz., has been transferred from Duncan. Ariz, to St. George and will take over the duties of camp engineer. This position was left open by the promotion of Mr. Schiele to superintendent of the Arlington camp. Six additonal men were sent to Las Vegas on Tuesday. This brings the strength of the building build-ing detachment to 40 men. All the material has arrived and building build-ing must be completed ready for occupancy by a company early in December. The Red Cross First Aid class, under the direction of Doctor Whalcn, was finished on Wednesday Wednes-day night with the majority of the members successfully passing the final tests. This coui-se entitles each man to a Standard First Aid certificate. Doyne Love, first aid attendant, is in the McGregor hospital following fol-lowing an emergency appendectomy appendec-tomy on Monday night. Vernon Worthen, Sam Fullerton and Rob Seaman were guests of the company at dinner on Monday night and all gave short talks to the boys during the regular Monday Mon-day night meeting. Rulon Snow has been employed by Fort Douglas and will rewire the entire camp. This improvement improve-ment will greatly reduce fire hazards and increase the efficiency of our lighting system. |
