Show Landscape Gardners Check Work At Temple Irving H. Nelson, church landscape land-scape gardner accompanied by Mr. Burley, also of Salt Lake City, and who has charge of the Temple grounds there, were in St. George last Saturday and Sunday, reviewing re-viewing the landscaping of the Temple block, says Pres. H. S. Snow. On Saturday Mr. Nelson assisted as-sisted by Mr. Burley planted 100 native Pine and Blue Spruce. These came from the Cedar mountain moun-tain and are a special contribution to the Temple block landscaping from the Parowan stake. Being able to get these native trees is a distinct advantage, state these experienced gardner s. They brought the trees in with them and are of the opinion there will be little loss, if any, in the growing of these trees. The Parowan stake has also sent word that some of their numbers num-bers are preparing to send in a number of mature evergreen trees from their groves in Cedar City and vicinity. These, states Mr. Nelson, will suffer little in transfer trans-fer and will be a decided asset in the Temple block project. |
