Show Farmers Urged To Hold Check-up-Week During July 6th to 13th Make the week of July 6 to 13 "Check-up-Week" in the Agricultural Agricul-tural Conservation Program, is the suggestion to Utah farmers of Director William Peterson, in charge of the AAA program in this state. "Right now", Director Peterson I says, "is the best time for farmers to check up on their farming operations to make sure that they are meeting requirements of the program, and to be certain that they are putting soil-building practices prac-tices into effect according to specifications. "Inspection and compliance work will begin in a short while, and by checking up now, a former can be sure that he will have his farming operations ready for inspection." in-spection." , Director Peterson lists the following points that every farmer , should check up on: (1) He should , make sure that he has the correct . figures on his soil-depleting base , and soil-conserving base as approved approv-ed by the county committee, (2) , he should make sure that he has definite diversion from his soil-; soil-; depleting base, if he is on a divers-' divers-' ion farm, (3) he should make sure that the soil-building practices which he puts into effect are approved ap-proved practices, and (4) he should make sure that these soil-building soil-building practices are being performed per-formed according to the specifications specifica-tions drawn up for the practices. |
