Show Leeds Group Plans 4th Program For Oak Grove LEEDS, Utah, July 1. Independence Indepen-dence Day will be celebrated at the Oak Grove camp grounds Monday, Mon-day, July 5, with a varied and interesting in-teresting day of sports and recreation recre-ation that will begin in the early afternoon and will be climaxed by an open-air dance at night announces the committee in charge. At 2 :30 p. m., a short program at the 'Theatre of the Pines' will be given in which Pres. Wm. R. Palmer of Cedar City will speak on Indian Lore. Included in this program will be vocal solos by Dil-worth Dil-worth M. Snow of St. George and a quartet under the direction of W. C. Eager of Leeds. From 3:30 p. m. until dark, games and races will be staged under the auspices of the Leeds Relief society. Facilities are available avail-able for horse shoes, volleyball, box hockey and soft ball. At night a dance will be held by the Leeds Gleaner Girls. "Only nine miles from Leeds and rising over three-thousand feet above the town, Oak Grove offers coolness and entertainment to the surrounding towns", said Forest Guard Deming of the Oak Grove camp grounds. |
