Show ST. GEORGE CAMP Captain Earl Jackson, assistant assist-ant district inspector, for the Fort Douglas CCC district, arrived in camp Sunday to make the monthy inspection of Company 2558. After a minute inspection of the camp the organization was found to be in a "heads-up" condition in every respect. The educational porgram of Camp DG-4 5 was enhanced last week by the inception of two new vocational courses: Vocational Voca-tional agriculture and general carpentry. The classes are taught by Mr. P. D. Spilsbury and Mr. Merkeley respectively. Captain Fred Klenk and K. G. Anderson, educational adviser, made the contact with B. Glen Smith, president presi-dent of Dixie College and secured the cooperation of the colleeg official that made the new classes possible. About thirty boys are taking advantage of the opportunity oppor-tunity afforded them. A great deal of appreciation is held by the company commander and adviser Anderson for the splendid cooperative attitude that has been so evident by the college toward the educational program of Company 2558. Chaplain D. J. Henry, assistant district Chaplain, held his religious religi-ous services in the Mess hall Sunday Sun-day evening. The boys turned out well and showed a fine spirit toward the Chaplain's program. |
