Show THIRTEEN PLEDGES NAMED BY LAMBDA BETA THETA Thirteen members of the Dixie junior college English classes have been chosen as Lambda Beta Theta pledges, according to Mary Clark, sorority president. The pledges, chosen to be inti-ated inti-ated as members of the sorority at the close of the winter quarter quar-ter of school, were selected from the junior English classes of the college on the merit of their work during the autumn quarter. Those students holding an A rating were taken and the rest were chosen from those holding a B rating. The pledges are as follows: Ruth Rust and Emily Adair of Orderville; Fae Anderson, Max-ine Max-ine Ha fen, Naomi Fordham, Jean Leavitt, Helen Ha fen. Erma Bentley, LaVerd Whitehead, and Phoebe Lytle, ell of St. George; Alice Lowe of Salmon Idaho; and lone Judd, of Fredonia, Arizona. New pledges will be chosen at the close of each quarter of school according to their school-astic school-astic standing in the junior English Eng-lish classes. The Lambda Beta Theta is the literary sorority of the college, therefore, for this reason, the pledges are chosen from the English classes. The pledges will entertain the members of the sorority at a party sometime in the near future according to arrangements being made at the present time. |
