OCR Text	Show Stores To Close On Memorial Day Announcement is made by L. H. Nazer, president of the merchants merch-ants association, that local stores have adopted a schedule for closing clos-ing on holidays throughout this year. The first day to be observed will be next Monday, which is Memorial Day. Since this makes a two-day holiday (Sunday and Memorial Day), local citizens are urged to plan their buying with this in, mind. Other days that the stores will close are as follows: Monday, July 4, and July 24, which comes on Sunday, will likewise be observed with a Monday closing. Labor Day,. Monday, Mon-day, September 5; Armistice Day, Friday; November 11; Thanksgiving Thanks-giving Day, November 24; Christmas Christ-mas Day and New Year's Day are the other days to be observed by the St. George merchants.
