Show 1 Remodeling Of Temple Hears Completion According to Pres. H. S. Snow, the interior improvements on the St. George Temple are nearing completion. The finishing up of the carpenter work will require, another week or 10 days and the plumbing and other work will take approximately three weeks. After that there will be the carpets car-pets to lay, blinds to hang, and chairs and benches to assemble. Presiding L.D.S. Bishop Le-Grande Le-Grande Richards, and Howard J. McKean, building supervisor, were here last Sunday checking over the work and estimating the time required to complete the various items. Both they and President Snow express great pleasure in the improvements. "It has been decided definitely," says President Snow, "not to open the Temple for ordinance work until the latter part of August." The Bureau of Information building is all but completed and the state road employees began the street improvements Monday, so that everything will be in readiness readi-ness for the opening date. Local people will not only take pride in having tourists view the buildings but will not need apologize for the grounds or the surrounding driveways, drive-ways, declare those connected with this work. |
