Show D.J.C. Squad Must Continue To Wear Beards As Las Vegas Wins 20-0 The Dixie junior college football toters received a definite postponement postpone-ment of the date when they can shave their shaggy beards by losing los-ing to the Las Vegas Wildcats by a score of 20 to 0 in a game played at Las Vegas last Saturday. Lack of condition due to the conflict between deer hunting and football practice and an injury to one of Dixie's regular linemen accounted ac-counted in part for the score. The teams battled on even terms for the first quarter, but Donald (Pete) Frei was taken out with a badly twisted knee in the second quarter the Wildcats launched a passing and running attack which resulted in three touchdowns. A long forward pass combined with a double lateral pass accounted for one of the scores. Cooke Outstanding: Leonard (Dusty) Cooke, quarterback quarter-back for Dixie was by far the outstanding out-standing player on either team in the opinion of those who saw the game.
