Two family homes have been leased for the purpose and will house principally N.Y.A. students. The girls are located in the Miner Prisbrey home with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hardy in charge. This unit has been taken over by the Dixie college and will accommodate 20 girls. The C. F. Foster home, originally origin-ally built by Edwin G. Woolley, former manager of the Wells Fargo operations in this vicinity during Silver Reef days, is the building leased for. the boys dormitory. This unit is supervised by county N.Y.A. director Von B. Cottam, with Mrs. Dan Seegmiller as matron. The building has a capacity for 40 students and more than half of that number are already al-ready registered. It is expected the full number will locate there by the end of this week. The boys have special reason to take pride in their home with its historic his-toric background, and its general interest otherwise. The pioneer building art, both in woodwork and plastering is well preserved in this building and the boys are already at work dressing the yards and planning to make the home even more attractive, if possible. Both units will organize completely, with president, vice-presidents, vice-presidents, secretary and home entertainment committees. |
